Breakfast with giraffes

The Hippo Garden Hotel

We finally arrived to Mpanda and from there to Sitalike where the Katavi National  Park entrance is. We couldn’t afford the fancy lodges in the park so we stayed at the Katavi Hippo Garden Hotel (20 dollars per night).  Scruffy but recommended. The location is so peculiar and the staff so nice and sweet. The hotel is just outside the park gate. The river forms the park border here and there’s a resident pod of hippos just out your room. Early in the morning animals come to drink at the river and you can have breakfast with giraffes…like we had!

And you, have you ever had a very special Breakfast?

    • I know this blog is a little messy and I’ve just started. But don’t give up with me some improvements are going to arrive soon. In the meantime you can have a look at the category TRIP and you can read the story about my trip in Tanzania (half of the story the other half it is too complicated!) Have a nice weekend! Michi
